Strictly Saltaire

Notes: Live music from Salsa Como Loco. Salsa tuition and show dance from professional dancers
Theo of Dancation and Jean-Paul of Salsa Touch. Free welcome cocktail fro the bar when you arrive. Delicious tapas to
keep you well fed plus prizes and a photographer to record the occasion. So £20 look a good bargain to me...
Autumn Salsa Party

Notes: There will be a DJ to get the dancing going. there will also
be a beginners class and later on a great demo. The price includes a light buffet of fruit and nibbles. This will be a fantastic
event at one of the friendliest venues in Yorkshire so get on down to the Hollygarth and join us.
31st Day Of Dance
Date: Saturday 17th October 2009.
Time: 0900 - 1830 (classes), 2000 - 2315 (dances).
Venue: Victoria Hall, Saltaire.
Cost: £5 (in advance) or £6 (on the door) for each daytime class and
£8 (in advance) or £10 (on the door) for entry to all the dances in the evening, book in advance via Louise, Denise
or their web site.
Notes: This is the second of this year's twice annual event of what
is the largest one day dance festival in the country. What's even better is that it's right on your door step! This year,
as usual, there are two events. The first event is in May and the second in October. There will be over 45 dance, song and
music workshops to choose from this time. Each will last about 90 minutes and they will run throughout the day
from 09:00 onwards. A dancer's dream! The choice is from Rock n' Roll and Tango through Jive, Bachata and Swing to Salsa
- the dance of dances! Classes are set in the grand old Victoria Hall, near Salt's mill and the centre piece of Saltaire.
There are several evening dances (andyour dance ticket covers them all) with the Afro-Cuban-Brazilian Carnival and Salsa dances
being of most interest to us. All proceeds go to Chernobyl Children's Project (CCP), Oxfam, Campaign Against the Arms Trade
(CAAT) and Yorkshire Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) . All good causes. Not only that but it is also very good
value for money. It's the best fun you can have on an all dayer by far with dance teachers from all over the North giving
their time for free for you and for charity. Get there and have some fun and try something new.

Notes: The 7th Annual Congress of
Northern Salsa Clubs. A fun two days a weekend starting with a dance Friday evening, a full day of classes on Saturday and
finishing with a grand dance party Saturday night. More teachers and classes than you can imagine. The best in the North outside

Leeds Weekender
